Official Community Plan & Zoning Bylaw Update     

The District of 100 Mile House is undertaking a renewal of the Official Community Plan(OCP) and Zoning Bylaw(ZBL) to guide the future of our community. These projects have the opportunity to foster a positive social, economic, and environmental impact on how 100 Mile House grows and changes over time.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The District of 100 Mile House will hold a Public Hearing in the Municipal Council Chambers, located at 385 Birch Avenue (Fourth Street entrance), 100 Mile House, on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. to consider Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 1465, 2026 and Zoning Bylaw No. 1466, 2026. 

Official Community Plan Bylaw 1465, 2026

The purpose of Official Community Plan Bylaw 1465, 2026 is to replace the District of 100 Mile House Official Community Plan Bylaw 1288, 2016 in its entirety.  Official Community Plan Bylaw 1465, 2026 will become the NEW Official Community Plan for the District of 100 Mile House.

An Official Community Plan is a document that provides high level policy and land use guidance for the District of 100 Mile House to make decisions regarding its future development and service provision. 

Zoning Bylaw 1466, 2026

The purpose of Zoning Bylaw 1466, 2026 is to replace the District of 100 Mile House Zoning Bylaw 1290, 2016 in its entirety.  Zoning Bylaw 1466, 2026 will become the NEW Zoning Bylaw for the District of 100 Mile House.

A Zoning Bylaw provides a clear and efficient system of land use regulation for the orderly, economic, beneficial, equitable and environmentally sensitive use, development, and redevelopment in the District of 100 Mile House.

Official Community Plan Bylaw 1465, 2026 and Zoning Bylaw 1466, 2026 
apply to all lands within the District of 100 Mile House municipal boundary.

The proposed bylaws may be inspected during normal working hours in the Municipal Office, 385 Birch Avenue until 4:00 p.m. April 14, 2026 or online at: www.100milehouse.com.  If you deem your interests to be affected by these bylaws, please submit your comments in writing or attend the Public Hearing and you will be given an opportunity to be heard.

Public Notice Bylaws 1465 & 1466

New OCP and Zoning Bylaws

Below are the new draft OCP (1465) and Zoning (1466) Bylaws that have received 2 readings of Council.  A Public Hearing will be scheduled (date to be determined).  Meantime, if you have any comments regarding the new bylaws, please send them to: district@100milehouse.com, Attention Planning Department.  Or you can drop off written comments at the municipal office located at: 1-385 Birch Ave. 

Throughout the entire project, we want to hear from you! 

We want to hear what your vision of the community is, where you think there are weaknesses, and what your ideas are for how to improve. These directions will give us insight into how to update the OCP and ZBL in ways that resonate with you and can help 100 Mile House community achieve our shared vision in the future.
