District utility users receive their Quarterly Utility bill in January, April, July and October. As an incentive for prompt payment, the District offers a 5% discount to anyone paying in full by the due date indicated on your bill. After this date, the full amount becomes due and payable by December 31.
Any accounts with amounts owing after December 31 are transferred to the property's land tax account. At that time interest and/or penalties will be applied in the same manner as unpaid property taxes.
When purchasing a property within the District of 100 Mile House water or sewer service area, or if you need to update your utility account information, you will need to contact the District to change the information on file. BC Assessment is not able to process requests to change utility account addresses or ownership. This is important as any unpaid utility amounts are the responsibility of the property owner. Any unpaid fees related to the property; user fees for water/ sewer or both, connection charges or water turn off/on fees as of December 31 are required to be transferred to the property’s tax account. Feel free to contact the District Office at anytime if you have questions about your utility account.
