Repairs underway to broken water main
100 MILE HOUSE, BC – District of 100 Mile House public works crews have successfully located the source of a broken water main on the west side of Alder Ave, north of Jens Street. Repairs to the system are now underway.
Water service has also been restored to six of the seven properties impacted by the break. Those properties will be under a boil water advisory for the next few days, until all precautionary water quality testing is completed. The remaining property will require a new water service line, which will be done next week with the goal of fully restored service prior to New Year’s Eve.
The District of 100 Mile House would like to extend a special note of thanks to District works staff, Bree Contracting, Patterson Septic, and utility company employees who worked tirelessly during challenging weather conditions to ensure impacted properties would have water service in time for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
