Temporary Vehicle Washing Exception During Water Restrictions
On July 24, 2026, the District of 100 Mile House implemented increased water restrictions, including a prohibition on washing vehicles.
In response to the recent ash fall, commonly referred to as "black rain," the District is temporarily permitting residents to wash their vehicles at their homes to help remove ash.
We ask that everyone continue to use water responsibly by:
• Using a spring-loaded shut-off nozzle.
• Washing vehicles efficiently and avoiding unnecessary water use.
• Conserving water whenever possible.
We sincerely appreciate our community's continued commitment to water conservation and thank you for doing your part. At this time, it is expected that the current level of water restrictions will remain in place throughout the summer.
